Also, Fortune welcomes the crew of CITR for their first volunteer appreciation night of 2012. CITR 101.9 FM is the broadcasting voice of UBC, and currently brings alternative programming to over two million listeners from Bellingham to Squamish, and Point Grey to Langley. Content is produced by campus and community volunteers, and Student Executives make management decisions alongside a team of dedicated staff. Community support allows the station to promote diverse, cultural coverage- advertising is less than 4 minutes an hour. Musical genres of all kinds are featured, along with news, comedy, issues programming, Thunderbird sports events, and more. Volunteer activity is the backbone of the station- CITR currently has over two hundred and thirty members who offer their time as volunteers and programmers.
