Who was the best on the block?

We were honoured to host "Who’s The Best On The Block" (b-boy/girl/freestyle/b-dance battle) at this year's Livestock Block Party, the competition was fierce! Thanks to all who came through to represent! We might just have to bring this to the club, so stay tuned!

Sweet Spot

"Though Chinatown is the best spot for a fresh coconut bun or dim sum, it isn't usually on our radar for painting the town red. Until now..."

Paul Devro - We Make It Good Mix

DOWNLOAD HERE!

“I tried to make this mix different from most of the mixtapes that i receive from people. I tried to not make it about new niche genres, super exclusive mp3s or even themed. I just put together a bunch of songs that i have always liked and that I wanted to share. There’s a bit of everything in here and i tried not to go too over board on the weird dial. Anyways, I like this mix, maybe a bit too many sirens but its 8am and i’m too tired to take them out. Hope you enjoy!” – Paul Devro

DJ Marvel Live Block Set

LISTEN & DOWNLOAD HERE

This year I was honoured to be invited to DJ at Vancouver's #1 way to say goodbye to summer - The Live Stock Block Party! It was a humbling experience sharing the stage w/ Age, Flipout, M!G!H!, Hedspin, Rico Uno, and DJ Fashen! They had a 57 hooked up so I took advantage and pressed record. Some parts are a little sloppy as it was done in one take. The music is on point though as the mix features tracks from - Prince Zimboo, Busy Signal, Capelton, Clipse, Lupe Fiasco, Kanye West, Ghostface, Jaylib & many more.. Enjoy

Like the cookie that shares its name, Fortune is a revelation.

Just opened in the space at 147 E. Pender St. that was most recently the Royal Unicorn Cabaret, Vancouver's newest nightclub/live-music venue is the realization of a dream long held by business partners Garret Louie and Robert Rizk, a.k.a. GMAN and Rizk, two of the most respected nightlife promoters in the city...

Vancouver Is Awesome

Here's your first look at the so called 'soft open' this past Saturday by Maurice of VIA. Quote of the day was 'it was the hardest soft opening ever. Check the Vancouver Is Awesome report HERE.

It all starts here

Mark this date down in history as tonight will be the soft opening of fortune sound club. It's been a labor of love and about 17 years in the making. We still have about 25% to go as far as little things, the 'designed by' rooms, some furniture etc, but we are doing the dry run tonight from 10pm-2am (no cover, just show up). The rest of the dates are below and we will doo something grand in September. Until then, thank you for your support and hope to tour you through it all.
